TapeLine is built by Olduvai Tools, Inc., a small software company that makes tools for people who build things. TapeLine is its first product: a construction calculator for crew leads, framers, and finish carpenters who measure, cut, lay out, and install, and for the people who need those numbers next.

Why TapeLine
On a job, the math is rarely the hard part. The hard part is knowing which number is right: what it measures, and whether it has changed since someone wrote it down. TapeLine puts each number on a line with its name and a photo of what it measures. Change it, and the calculations linked to it update. Share the tape, and the whole crew builds to the same number.
