Delete your TapeLine account
You can delete your account yourself, in the app or from this page. No one has to approve it, and we don't ask why.
From the app
Open TapeLine, tap the person icon at the top right, then Delete account. You'll sign in again to prove it's you, read what will be erased, and type DELETE.
From any browser
This opens the same steps in your browser, no install needed. Sign in with the account you want to delete.
What happens
- At once: you're signed out everywhere and can't sign back in.
- Within the hour, and never later than 30 days: everything your account owns is erased. That means your name, email and avatar; every project you own, with its tapes, lines, photos, notes and history; invitations and shares made to you; and the usage events tied to your account.
- You get one email confirming it's done.
- Copies in our backups expire on their own schedule, usually within about a week.
What stays
Lines, notes and photos you added to someone else's project stay with that project; they belong to its owner. They're shown as coming from a former member, with no name attached. If you own a project that others work in, you can hand it to one of them before you delete your account.
Can't sign in?
Email support@tapeline.tools from the address on the account. We'll verify it's you and delete the account the same way.
